Energize aging shopping centers by splitting them in two, architect advises

The Sinclair Group was the general contractor who worked with BDG Architects and owner Pappas & Pupello Development to transform this aging retail center at 4001 W. Kennedy Blvd., in Tampa. In addition to the renovation to the retail center, Sinclair completed the build-out of La Segunda Bakery which has one of the in-caps with patio seating.

The renovated design split the center into two buildings totaling 19,300 square feet, connected by a covered breezeway with outdoor seating and upgraded parking, lighting and landscaping. In 2019, The Sinclair Group is celebrating 25 years of building ground up and renovated retail buildings throughout Tampa Bay and Florida.
